Pro-Bono, Low-Bono, and Pauper Assistance

 IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

  • The Boone County Bar Association does not operate a “Legal Line” or any similar program where persons can call an attorney for free legal advice.

  • The Boone County Bar Association directs all pro-bono/low-bono requests to the Wabash Valley Volunteer Attorneys.

  • If you are seeking assistance as a defendant in a criminal matter, then the Wabash Valley Volunteer Attorneys cannot assist you. You should contact the Court for a Public Defender. Also excluded from the program are small claims cases, bankruptcy, workers compensation, probate and some other types of cases (i.e. fee generating cases).

  • If you are seeking child support that is owed to you, please contact the child support division of the Boone County Prosecutor’s Office.


 

Free Legal Aid Clinic:

On the 2nd Thursday of Every Month at the Boone County Courthouse, the Wabash Valley Volunteer Attorneys hosts a Free Legal Aid Clinic. Come visit Wabash Valley Volunteer Attorneys and APPLY for Legal Assistance in the Courthouse atrium. This clinic cannot help with criminal matters or fee generating cases.
